Why choose a Gecko helmet?

Along with the RNLI and Ministry of Defence we worked with BSI to create the PAS028:2002 standard. This standard is the only marine safety standard to exist in the world but is specifically tailored for helmet use in a marine environment. So not only do we know our helmets inside and out we know the safety standard that they meet and exceed.

We are industry standard because we helped design the standard…

Our patented inflatable liners…

Our inflatable liners are what give our helmets their unrivalled comfort. The liner once inflated will mould around the user’s head to create a custom fit. This feature gives the helmet more wearability and longevity. The liner offers an inherent buoyancy to the user, and if overboard and rising up to the surface will position user to rise with the helmet to take any impacts. All Gecko helmets come with a fitted inflatable liner as standard.

We are trusted by 100’s of organisations around the world including…

The liner in our helmets are extremely buoyant and keep the helmet snug to the users head. This video shows how well the helmet assists in the buoyancy of head as well as keeping the users head safe with the impact of the water.

This is the importance of choosing the right helmet for marine scenarios.

Although all helmets tested are very good helmets in their own right, when tested for their comfort and suitability in marine scenarios the marine helmets clearly perform better.

Marine environments come with their own risks and challenges and this is why it is important to choose a helmet that has been designed specifically with these risks in mind.
